Deadpool is a character from the Marvel Comic empire.  Aka Wade Winston Wilson, also known as the "Merc with a mouth" Deadpool originally appears as a villain in New Mutants #98 1991.  In 1997, Deadpool was given his own ongoing title which gained cult popularity for it's unorthodox main character. 

Deadpool's primary power is an accelerated healing factor, which enables him to regenerate any destroyed tissues or organs at a super-human rate as well as making him immune to known diseases and infections.
