Based on the Israeli series "Hatufim" (Prisoners of War), Homeland is a drama series developed for US television by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa.  First broadcast October 2nd, 2011 on the American Showtime Channel.  Starring Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison and Damian Lewis as Nicholas Brody.
