Supreme Commander Wallpaper

Supreme Commander is a real-time strategy (RTS) computer game, developed by Chris Taylor's Gas Powered Games. Spiritual successor to Taylor's 1997 RTS game Total Annihilation, which was generally accepted as the number one real-time strategy game of all time.

Always was puzzeling to me why they didn't continue the legacy.
Guess they did. :)

I've played neither, much to my chagrin... I do remember always running into a panic on strategy games.....

Not me I can tell you. But that's not necessarily a good thing. None of my friends like to play strategy based games whit me 'cause when they fight against me, I overwhelm them, and when we fight together I overwhelm the opposite team leaving nothing for them.
I can still remember our C&C Generals match... :)

My friends words: "I hate him, his a plague. Here I am, Defend the north pass! Oh no, breach to the east!"
(gazes at the mini map in inquiry, and turns to alied player)
"... Prox, is the mini map supposed to be blue?"
(scrolls screen only to reveal zounds of paladin tanks. Filling whit confusion turns to me, and I'm "Legs crossed sipping a martini talking to a bystander)

That was our last C&C match...

The moral of this story is, don't mass troops 'cause it kills the game.

...i take your point, while a cool thing to have pulled off... your friend was none too chuffed.... i remember my first time playing halo on live... annihilated... so bad in a one on one that the guy gave me some tips and apologised for wiping the floor with me...

..though im not adverse to losing... having it happen repeatedly takes it's toll....

I to know the feeling... Literally, I suck in FPS team play. Bestowed upon me are good reflexes, a clear mind, and kick ass computer hardware.
Nevertheless, I still can't function in a team unless I am the leader. Even then I have problems maintaining tactics. In short:
1vs1 quite good
2vs2 manageable
5vs5 self mutilation

.. 5vs5 would be far better if the other four just realised they're dealing with a superior being...

you need an entourage.. myself and gnome to precede your arrival on the battle arena... .soften them up a little first...

beats me how they fail to recognise greatness...

although i must admit taking orders from others over xboxlive grates enormously.... so much so im now almost exclusively a single player advocate...

Come now, that's just to much.
I'm not that good of a gamer for one main reason. I lack specialization. Games I play I do so only for the fun of it. I could never play a game just to improve my skills, and because of that I'm only good to a certain extent.
Thus my greatest problem in MP gaming... I'm much better than beginner\regular gamer and yet I can't beat pro gamers...
Only once did I have a team I bonded whit, so no one would lead but the pack instinct in us all, and we kicked ass. One of them is a good friend of mine and we still play 2p Vs 15\20 bots just for the fun of it... ;)
... I need some good MP action, and fast!

..i cringe when i think of my first capture the flag, ran all the way back to the enemy base with my teams flag.... it was quite some time before I went near that again...

...unfortunately i'd get lost in a brown paper bag... my 3d sense is strangely absent on video games....

Oh heck yeah. Those capture the flag moments have not eluded any of us fellow collaborator.
The paper bag situation I can help you whit. Just keep going forward, pretty soon you'll puncture a hole. Although, being a brown one might complicate things.
Don't know about you, but gaming in an underwater environment always makes me woozy.

lol.. .yes water has strange properties.. (makes mental notes to avoid brown coloured paper bags....)
